About me

I am a qualified therapeutic counsellor holding a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and accreditation in Clinical Supervision.

After over a decade of putting people's health and wellbeing at the heart of my work within the NHS, I volunteered on a national telephone helpline whilst I furthered my studies as a mature student.

During that time I discovered that not only did I still enjoy being able to support people but also had the ability to hold their distress through listening alone.

Knowing how counselling helped me through parts of my life previously, and seeing how it helped many others too, I decided to pursue a career in psychotherapy and I continue to develop my practice in this field.

I am a native Londoner and am a huge fan of dogs (and their doggonalities). You might see my dog as she climbs up and snuggles down on my lap during a video session!

'the whole 360'

• It reflects the holistic way in which I like to work with someone and I believe it is important to embrace as many aspects of human characteristics as possible in order to better understand ourselves.
• It's a reference to the way we humans often revere and strive for wholeness and fulfilment and how it affects our being, and beings, when we feel that something is missing or lost.
• I find it interesting how "whole" and "hole" are homophones.
• It's obvious how all matter contributes to the delicate balance and existence of the whole planet and that there are often two polar opposites in nature and a whole spectrum in between the poles; other examples include: north/south, dark/light, night/day, sun/moon,  etc.
• I'm mindful of how individuals come together as families, common interest groups, communities, etc., to form a whole, unified species.
• There is a pertinency to the circular and spherical nature of 360°,  and the ease with which such shapes roll and move, in relation to life and therapeutic work.
  
• As a lover of sunsets, the roundness of that ball of fire and source of energy (the sun) fits perfectly for me and my chosen domain name which links to the way I desire to be, which is with the innocent curiosity of a 3 year old whilst also having the wisdom that comes with 60 years of lived experience.
